In response to the Aidoo Centre’s open call, an impressive 144 submissions arrived from writers inspired to creatively engage with the landscapes and cultures of the Volta Region and Togo.

True to their mission of nurturing literary diversity, the editors and publishers embraced a broad spectrum of styles—from witty pieces and sharp flash fiction to boundary-pushing experimental narratives.

This anthology features the standout selections from that vibrant pool of entries. It builds on the Centre’s growing legacy, following acclaimed collections such as Adabraka: Stories from the Centre of the World, Larabanga: Stories from the Savannah, The Lockdown, and Untold Stories Vol. 1.

Each of these works reflects the Aidoo Centre’s ongoing dedication to cultivating a culture of critical reading, storytelling, and literary engagement among Ghana’s youth.
